FAQ

Why should I buy a mask from you and not another vendor?

When you buy from us, you are helping a very small, community business employ those in need, keep other businesses alive, and help the most at risk during this pandemic. We would truly be grateful from the bottom of our hearts if you chose to purchase a mask.

Why don’t you just give them away for free?

First off, we are giving them away for free! For every purchase you make, we will donate a mask to someone most in need. This includes healthcare workers, those who are very high risk (including those battling cancer and other diseases), and others providing essential services. We also know that during this global health crisis that many are financially impacted. We have hired those who have lost their jobs or a significant amount of income due to Covid-19. By purchasing fabric instead of using donated stash, we are helping businesses stay afloat.

How can I get a free mask?

If you, someone you know, or an organization is in need of a mask and cannot afford one, we will do everything in our power to make sure you or they get one for free. Please e-mail us at TotallyWeirdLA@gmail.com

How are your masks “CDC Approved” or “CDC Recommended”?

We use a pattern and material for our masks that is recommended by the CDC for healthcare workers during an emergency. It is not NOISH approved. Here’s some info from the CDC website. We recommend also reading the reference articles cited at the bottom of the article.

What is your mask made of?

All of our masks are made of tightly woven cotton fabric. They have two layers, pretty good mouth and nose coverage for most, and tie in the back.

Will this mask stop me from getting Coronavirus/ Covid-19?

We make no claims that this mask will stop you from getting Covid-19 or any other illness. We definitely recommend that you do your own research and come to your own conclusions.

Please stay safe, do what you can to stay healthy, and stay at home if you are able. We offer a huge thank you to those putting their lives at risk to battle this pandemic and serve our community. -Carrie, Nancy, and the whole TWLA family.
